Bought from other reseller last year with cigarette odor on books (wasn’t disclosed to me). I have personally spent about $150 trying to rid the books of the smell (charcoal treatments, fresh-air/sun, freezing, cedar wood chips, letting fan blow on the books for weeks while completely open, dryer sheets, etc.), but there is still an odor. It isn’t incredibly noticeable until opening the books (in my opinion). Had these with other special editions on bookshelf for display and no odor on other books/in room. Minor imperfections on covers of a few books. I have never personally read them as my goal was to display them but I can’t attest to previous owner.
I want to disclose all of this as I would have wanted it disclosed to me prior to purchase.
