Vintage Noritake China Dalia Gravy Boat With Attached Underplate. Japan

Rare find: This item is hard to come by. This gravy boat has an attached under plate and is marked Japan. US Patent applied for, which makes this newer than 1952 occupied Japan pieces. This gravy boat is a very elegant looking dish. It has a pretty brick red edge green laurel designed with lots of gold trim. The porcelain is white, but on the top lip of the gravy boat and under plate is an ivory color which makes the designs really pop. Especially on the sides of the gravy boat where there are gorgeous bouquets of multi colored florals in 4 areas. The inside of the gravy boat also features a pretty bouquets of florals which includes dahlias. The Workman and design on this piece makes it a real standout gravy boat. The design with the lips on both sides makes it so nice for placing a utensil to rest on whether a spoon or a ladle. This piece is an excellent condition. No flaws at all. Stamped with the official Noritake Japan base-mark on the bottom.
