Vintage carved dark brown wood frames. Style is very Craftsman / California Arts & Crafts movement. Could be painted gold to change its identity and turn it into a golden gilded opulent frame. No matter what it will add some significant style to whatever to your home decor and art.
They don’t make frames like this anymore. Not sure of exact era, but I bought second hand in the early 80s and it was old then!
Outer edge of frame measures 18.5” wide by 16.5” long. Inner frame including fabric mat measures 9.5” wide by 8” long. Inner mat can be removed to add about an inch all the way around.
In excellent vintage / estate / antique condition. Given that it is preowned there are some signs of use, but no chips!
