Antique from the 1920s
This circa 1920s two tiered metal cake tin has a unique painted wood grain décor. There are two sections of varying height for two cakes plus a lid. The cake saver box is marked "Cake Chest".
Unlike many of the era bread boxes, this cake tin has no drilled ventilation holes.
This would still make a fun working piece to store muffins,rolls, homemade breads and cakes and it would make a fabulous era kitchen décor piece.
CONDITION:
Antique, used condition. As you can see in the photos, the faux wood grain paint coat shows fading,scratches and wear throughout.
The outside bottom of the tin also shows wear to the once black coating. All 5 Handlespresent & sturdy functioning conditon.
The top box part that is marked "Cake", bottom box is marked "Chest"
The cake tin is sturdy & the two
compartments stack well with the lid fitting properly and tightly.
MEASUREMENTS:
9.75," without handle, 10.75" length, 11: width
Weight is a sturdy 5 pounds.
