Hand made in Ghana, Africa, this is a great sounding, easy to hold and carry medium-sized djembe hand drum. Made from all natural and one single piece of African Mahogany wood and a single piece goat skin head strung with the traditional two metal rings and pre-stretched and weathered cotton and nylon ties. This djembe is not the fanciest looking, but the simple dual zig zag etchings on the base and dual ring etchings above allow the natural beauty of the African Mahogany wood to be the star and the focus for decoration. But that’s not what’s important, it’s all about how this drum sounds!! With 8” diameter drum head and at 21” height, this drum is a natural leader in drum circles, and is a perfect starter hand drum, or a versatile addition to any drummers’ collection.
