This is a complete of 8 vintage Gay Fad glasses designed by the talented female entrepreneur Fran Taylor. This collectible glassware set is featured in the 1951 Gay Fad catalog.
This set includes the hand painted caricature designs of a Doctor, Lawyer, Rich Man, Poor Man, Thief, Chief, Beggar Man, and Merchant. The artwork is fun. Just look at each character’s eyes…. shifty! These large frosted glasses are each signed “GF”.
These glasses hold 16 oz. and measure 6 1/4" high by 2 7/8" wide.
Overall, these glasses are in very good vintage condition. There are some marks and a few small signs of wear, but the designs are still bold with the exception of the Chief glass. It has a little more paint fading than other glasses. There are no cracks or chips. There are no egregious scratches to the paint.
