Up for sale is a CLT Inspired (Cross Laminated Timber) Cutting Board with hardwoods. On one side Purple Heart, Hard Maple, and Poplar accent, bookended by two sections of epoxy resin that are absolutely beautiful. Hemlock is sandwiched in the middle, and patterned plywood on the other side. I go to great lengths to seal up the porousness of the woods by coating them with thinned down epoxy, letting it soak in, and sanding back off what is on the surface. What’s left is a finish free from the porous nature of the different types of wood. Let’s be real, in the pores of the cutting board is not a good place to store leftovers. All of the materials I use are non toxic and food safe. This is the first time I’ve sold anything I made, I always give them as gifts or keep them. But I’m in a bit of a financial bind, so I hope they go to a good home.
