“Philippine Hat, ca. 1900” is an item in the Mapping Philippine Material Culture collection. Mapping Philippine Material Culture is a digital humanities project in London, UK that aims to visually inventory Philippine material culture in overseas collections from around 1500–1950.

The traditional Philippine hat, called the salakot, is a wide-brimmed hat made from local materials like bamboo, palms, and rattan leaves.

The only ones left identical to this one are in museum's. I've been all over Google and there's a few left in museum's. None are even sold like this any longer it's from the early 1900s to mid 1900s. When I used google photo and asked what this was called it gave me the 1st paragraph and the only actual hats left in the pictures are in a museum I don't even know what to post it for honestly because the museums ain't selling it you know. And it's in perfect condition.
