I’m not sure I should be writing about this, But i Understand that half of my readers are quite new to the world of Hosting,Blogs and Domains. Since I Have been taking a lot about blogs rather than websites, One of my readers asked me What exactly is a Blog?I wasnt quite sure how to explain. After a Moment’s thought i explained it’s something like an Online Diary(too lame an explanation) where people share in their thoughts, but maybe a good explanation for a noob. Blogs are these days Much more than Personnel with content crafting to a wide area of internet.
What is a Blog?
A blog is exactly another type of website and short form for web log. It allows the website owner/ Website authour to easily write messages(posts) that get posted to the website. It can be compared to a Diary because the posts are often in a journal or diary-like style(Intially blogs where made to serve as a online Diary like thing).A particularly appealing thing about blogs is that your readers can comment back to your posts fairly easily making blogs interactive. Blog the very name gives a personnel touch. What you write in a Blog can easily be accessed with a special program called a RSS reader(real simple syndication).
Blogs are highly interactive. There is usually more editorial freedom associated with blogs and the topic or content often overlooked. Blogs are regarded to be the most powerful source of expression of thought these days. Even Some Companies have clearly laid down policies for blogging for their employees. Thousands of Blogs are born daily and it will be soon the biggest source of information online. Citizen Journalists / Bloggers are stirring the World with real time reporting. When posting to a blog you will notice that it is arranged in chronological order - with the most recent additions on top.
What makes a blog popular is it’s simplicity to start and the simplicity of usage. A person who dosen’t even have any programming experience can pretty easily host a blog. Blogs can turn pretty spicy with Discussions heating up.Blog survives by it’s user interaction. Majority of Bloggers if they visit a blog they are sure to comment on topics that strike him.
